I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know about Travis Alexander, about who he was, his dreams. He will always hold a special place in my heart. I know I’ll think of him when I see a beautiful sunset, or puppies playing…just like I think of my son.
Paul, Travis was right handed, the wounds to his hands are minimal, mostly on his left hand, and the only time she was actually facing him stabbing to where he could have held up his hands is when he was on his back on the floor in the hallway where he bled out..ergo, minimal wounds to the hands. She was squatted down beside him at that point, and his right hand, IMO, would have been at his neck.
He may well have tried to grab the knife with his left hand, but that wound is short. That means not a lot of strength left to hold the blade. If he’d fought her, his hands would have been in much worse condition. The knuckles on his right hand are unscathed.
Personally, I hope she is awakened every single night by the sound coming from Travis as his lungs called for air through the gaping wound in his neck. May she live LONG never seeing freedom again.
